As Classical Civilisation is currently offered to Gifted and Talented Year 10 students who complete the course over two years, taking their examination at the end of Year 11.

Introduction
Studying Classical Civilisation at Advanced Level will extend your cultural frame of reference to provide you with a deeper understanding of the origins of, and contradictions within, Western democracy. You will touch on the beginnings of satirical drama as an art form in the West. You will study Homer's Odessey and Athenian Democracy in the fifth century BC.
