It also aims to develop your understanding of spoken and written French from a variety of registers. The course will give you a good insight into and a good knowledge of the contemporary society and cultural background of countries where French is spoken. The topics studied are varied and include such subjects as the media, popular culture, healthy living and lifestyles, family and relationships, the environment, the multi-cultural society with immigration, integration and racism, contemporary social issues such as wealth and poverty, law and order and the impact of scientific and technological
