Charity Events

The students at MGGS organise and take part in many charity events throughout the year. The students are encouraged to organise events of their own choice either as classes, year groups and even the whole school!

The students are given the opportunity to decide upon the charity that they wish to donate the proceeds to of their event.

In the past we have seen the students dress up, take part in crazy sporting events, hold numerous cake and sweets sales and they have even eaten doughnuts in the name of charity!

Sponsored events are always popular raising large sums of money for charities and we have our parents to thank for their generous support. Similarly non-uniform days are a hit with the girls as you can imagine.

There are many charities both national and local that have benefited from the students efforts and below are a select few:

Great Ormond Street

Children in Need

Cancer Research

Demelza House

RSPCA

Mencap

Make a Wish foundation

Friends of Priority House Maidstone Hospital

Rag Week is held towards the end of the Autumn Term and a variety of activities take place, culminating in the panto, where staff get to reveal their true selves....

The total raised during Rag Week 2008 was £5300.  This was divided equally between the Pahar Trust and The Child Welfare Scheme
