Trips & Visits
The school organises a large number of educational visits both near and far, from an afternoon to a week or more in duration. Below is a selection of some of our recent trips. 
- As part of our science specialism we forged and maintain a continued link with the Organic Apple Farm in Marden. Students from all year groups have visited the farm on numerous occasions looking at the production of MGGS's own apple juice from tree to bottle.
- Year 12 bonding trip to Carroty Wood September 2008
- National Gallery and Natural History Museum visits throughout the year for Yrs 7 and 8
- Geography field trips to Swanage and Ashford
- Year 7 bonding trip to Marchants Hill October 2008
- Year 12 and 13 Modern Foreign Language trip to Madrid October 2008
- Numerous live theatre performances organised by the Drama and English departments.
- Engineering links with KEF Audio and Business Studies conferences.
- Year 12 Textiles trip to Milan February 2009.
- Year 10 National Netball trip to Northern Ireland March 2009.
- Science visits to Port Lympne and Darwins home Down House as well as successful student involvement in science camps and science extravaganzas.
- Year 9 Modern Foreign Language trip to Andalucia March 2009.
- Year 8 Modern Foreign Language trip to Mosel April 2009.
- Years 9 and 10 Modern Foreign Language trip to Normandy June 2009.
We must not forget the numerous, varied and exciting opportunities provided by the PE department for all year groups throughout the year.
