A Level PE Sports Science Trip to the University of Kent

On November 20th,  Year 13 A-Level Physical Education (PE) students visited the Sports Science Department at the University of Kent for an exciting and educational day. The visit aimed to provide students with valuable insights into the practical applications of sports science, enhancing their understanding of key topics in their A-Level curriculum. The day included hands-on workshops in three key areas of sports science: Exercise Physiology, Reaction Time, and Sports Psychology. 

The workshops allowed the students to engage with the science behind human performance and gave them an opportunity to explore potential future careers in the field. The visit to the University of Kent’s Sports Science Department was a highly engaging and educational experience for the Year 13 A-Level PE students. It provided them with an invaluable opportunity to enhance their understanding of key topics in sports science while developing skills that will benefit their studies and future careers. The upcoming BASES poster competition will further encourage the students to consolidate their learning and present their findings in a professional and creative way.
