Engineering Taster Week is an educational and enjoyable event intended to provide the attendees with experience of real world engineering. Attending students will embark on a challenging week-long project to develop their team working skills, leadership qualities and engineering expertise. BAE aim to provide an insight into the engineering that goes on locally at the BAE Systems Rochester site, as well as providing valuable skills and experience that will serve the participants well in future applications and endeavours.
It will help all students learn about the different paths to a career in the sector and opportunities that are available within the company, including post-secondary apprenticeships, placements, internships, and post-graduate opportunities. For an insight into Engineering Taster Week and the opportunities it offers, please refer to the website which contains a helpful video for students.
Engineering Taster Week will be run twice in 2020, from 6th to 10th July 2020, and 13th to 17th July 2020.
