In the summer, MGGS was awarded the role of Computing Hub for Kent and East Sussex, tasked with supporting all schools in the region to deliver outstanding computing lessons. As part of this programme we are very pleased to announce that our first CPD sessions for primary school teachers (Teaching & Leading KS1 Computing) will be held on the 21st of January and the 11th March. The two day course is part of the core CPD programme written by the National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE) and is delivered by our Primary Computing Subject Expert with the aim of increasing confidence in teaching the whole Key Stage 1 curriculum.

The cost of the course is £35 per day (£70 for two day course), including lunch. However, the course is funded by the Department for Education and every state school that participates will receive a bursary of up to £220 per day. The fee is £220 per day for teachers from independent schools. To book, please complete the online form: https://forms.gle/QdhnNSn5mDKR3hLw8 or email teachcomputing@mggs.org
