Carys in Year 11 takes part in European Youth Olympics & sacrificed her own race to assist Team GB win a Gold in Slovakia!
Carys L in Year 11 took part in the European Youth Olympics in Slovakia earlier in the summer.
Team GB commented, “Ferguson’s medal today comes partly thanks to tactical support from teammate Carys L, 15, who sacrificed her own race with an early sprint attack to help Ferguson up for the win.”
MGGS is extremely proud to hear this news and the parents commented, “I hope you are as proud as I am for the part Carys played in the GB girls cyclist winning gold in both of the events.”
Following the success of the Team GB cyclists at the European Youth Olympics, we are delighted to learn that Carys has been invited to attend a Team GB cycling camp in Yorkshire shortly.
Congratulations Carys and good luck in future cycling events.
