Celebrating Diversity: Multicultural Day 2025 at MGGS
On Tuesday, 29th April, MGGS was filled with colour, pride and celebration as students and staff marked Multicultural Day 2025. It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to express their individuality, share their backgrounds, and celebrate the rich diversity that makes our school community so special.
Students arrived dressed in a wide range of outfits that reflected their cultural heritage, hobbies, and identities. From traditional clothing and vibrant national flags, the day was a true showcase of who we are as individuals and as a community. Staff also joined in, proudly wearing outfits that represented their own identities, and sparking positive conversations with students about belonging and pride.
During Form time, students took part in thoughtful discussions about the meaning of identity, using prompts to explore their personal stories and learn more about each other’s experiences. These conversations helped to highlight the importance of respect, acceptance and the celebration of difference within our school.
Breaktime saw a fantastic turnout for the group photographs, with the sunny weather allowing us to gather at the front of the school for some wonderful shots of students and staff together.Â
Adding even more excitement to the day, a number of students also performed dances and other pieces they had rehearsed during Period 3, impressing everyone with their talent and dedication.
Multicultural Day 2025 was a huge success, and we would like to thank all students and staff for their energy, creativity and enthusiasm. MGGS continues to be a place where everyone is encouraged to be proud of who they are – and events like this remind us just how much we have to celebrate.
