Echoes of the Past: BBC South East Visits MGGS for VE Day Special – Broadcast Coming Soon!

As part of their VE Day 80 coverage, BBC South East have been at MGGS to reflect on the lives of school children during WW2 and the relief of VE Day and knowing that war in Europe was over.

Piers Hopkirk interviewed two former MGGS students who spoke of their lessons in the air raid tunnels and school life in general during this challenging period of our history.  We don’t yet know when the piece will go out, except that it will be in the week commencing 6th May 2025 – watch this space!
