Baking sensation crowned as Year 7 student takes top prize
On Monday the school was transformed into a tropical paradise last week as students battled it out in our summer-themed bake-off. With mangos and pineapples as far as the eye could see, the competition was fierce.
Judges were blown away by the creativity and taste of all entries, but it was Year 7 student, Grace D, who stole the show with her incredible beach-themed cake – featuring sunbathing and swimming jelly teddy bears! Not only was this creation a visual masterpiece, but its irresistible combination of chocolate and mango flavours secured her the well-deserved title of winner.
Congratulations, Grace and well done to the Development Trust Ambassadors for organising the event and selling all the cakes at lunchtime to raise money for the school.
Staff Clinch Victory in Nail-Biting Benchball Battle
In a thrilling display of athleticism and school spirit, the staff team emerged victoriou
s in the highly anticipated Benchball match against the students. The game, held on Tuesday, was a fast-paced and exhilarating spectacle that had the crowd on the edge of their seats.
From the opening whistle, both teams demonstrated exceptional skill and determination. The students, buoyed by the enthusiastic support of their peers, launched a formidable challenge. However, the staff, drawing on years of experience (and perhaps a little extra practice), managed to hold their ground and ultimately secure a well-deserved win.
The match was a testament to the camaraderie and competitive spirit that exists within our school community. It was a fantastic event that brought everyone together to cheer on their respective teams and enjoy a fun-filled lunchtime.

In For a Pound: Staff Edition!
Our students absolutely smashed it with their In For A Pound live show on Thursday! The staff were put through their paces with hilarious challenges, and we’re still laughing!
But that’s not all! We also enjoyed some epic highlights from the student contestants that took part in challenges around the school throughout the month.
