Headteacher’s End of Term Message

It has been a real pleasure to invite parents into school this term for a number of different events: Year 8 Welcome mornings, Performing Arts Showcase, Dance Showcase, Year 11 Revision evening.  It has been such a long time since we have been able to hold such events that it has made us all realise how important they are to the life of the school and our wider community.  It has also been good to see a number of school trips take place during this term and we look forward to seeing a greater return to normality in the months ahead.

This term, as always, is a busy time, especially for Year 11 and Year 13 students as they are working towards their examinations, supported by their teaching staff.  We wish them well in these public examinations and are very pleased for them that this year they will take place.

At the end this term we are saying goodbye to Mrs Gibson as she moves onto a school in Rochester. Mrs Gibson has been at MGGS for 10 years. We are grateful to her, for her leadership of German, including overseeing numerous visits to the continent with students. She goes with our best wishes for the future.

Finally, can I take this opportunity to wish all students and their families, along with our staff a restful and enjoyable Easter.  We look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday, 19th April.

Miss Deborah Stanley, Headteacher
