Headteacher’s End of Term Message
It has been a very busy term with Ofsted visiting, Spring Concert, Dance Showcase, RISE and MEGA days, as well as our annual STEAM week to name but a few events.
It has also been good to see a number of school trips take place during this term, particularly our Nepal visit, as well as trips to Howletts, Normandy and Madrid that proved very beneficial to our students also.
This term, as always, is a busy time, especially for Year 11 and Year 13 students as they are working towards their examinations, supported by their teaching staff. We wish them well in these public examinations.
Following our Attendance Focus week on from 20th to 24th March, I am delighted to report that our overall school average attendance for that week was the highest it has been for a considerable time, thank you.
A big thank you to everyone for making this a real focus and I very much hope this upward trajectory will continue into next term.
And finally, I would like to share with you this brief time lapse video of our beautiful magnolia tree looking just amazing as always and in full bloom in time for the end of term! https://youtu.be/2jD2-63tRJ0
May I take this opportunity to wish all students and their families, along with our staff a restful and enjoyable Easter. We look forward to welcoming students back on Monday, 20th April.
Miss Deborah Stanley, Headteacher
