Health and Social Care Talk

Health and Social students at MGGS were very lucky to have a visit from Mr Will Parsons, a parent and Mental Health Team Manager from KCC’s Ashford Mental Health Social Care Services. He gave us a real insight into his very demanding but necessary and satisfying job. Within the Health and Social Care curriculum there is considerable coverage of the need for ‘person-centred care’ and Mr Parsons really brought that to life, by explaining how the needs of every client are considered on an individual basis, and different organisations and agencies brought in to collaborate accordingly. Some of our students were inspired to consider a career in Social Services. 

We are very grateful to Mr Parsons and are looking forward to visits from other parents from the health and social care sector in the coming months.
