Here comes MGGS to Borneo!
Exciting Highlight for the Forthcoming Borneo Trip for Year 11 and 10 Students
Jungle Hammock Camp Adventure:
One of the most thrilling highlights of the Borneo trip for Year 11 and 10 students at MGGS will be their stay at the jungle hammock camp. At the end of term in July, students will embark on a unique experience by spending two nights in hammocks within the dense rainforest of KOPEL. This adventure will allow them to fully immerse in the natural environment, sleeping under the canopy of the jungle and listening to the sounds of wildlife all around them.
What to Expect:
- Authentic Jungle Experience: Students will gain firsthand experience of what it’s like to live in the rainforest, enhancing their appreciation for nature and conservation efforts.
- Teamwork and Resilience: Setting up hammocks and living in a minimalistic environment will foster teamwork and resilience, valuable skills for personal development.
- Wildlife Encounters: The chance to see and hear various wildlife in their natural habitat, making it an unforgettable educational experience.
- Project Work: Continuing their project work in this unique setting will provide a deeper understanding of environmental conservation efforts.
This part of the trip promises to be both educational and adventurous, offering students a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to connect with nature and contribute to meaningful conservation projects.
