Friday 8th November, A106, 1.30pm-2pm
Charlotte Welsby, Student Recruitment and Events Officer for the Kent and Medway Medical School opening in 2020, will be here at MGGS to speak to students and answer any questions for any who are interested in a career in the Medical profession.
Kent and Medway Medical School is the first in the region and will help meet the demand of the clinical workforce needed to support the rising population in Kent and Medway in the future.
They will be here to encourage progression into medicine or health related careers. They aim to encourage aspiring doctors from all backgrounds to seriously consider medicine as a career. They are committed to widening access to medical degrees and have ambitious targets to recruit students from Kent, Medway and further afield, who have the talent and aspiration to study medicine, and are from under-represented groups or disadvantaged backgrounds. They offer a range of widening participation activities for schools and colleges. Working with Year 9 and upwards, they also offer a sustained outreach programme to prepare talented young people from Kent and Medway to study medicine.
All MGGS students are welcome to attend.
