This term, students from year 8, 9, 10 and 12 participated in a street mural design workshop led by a local Graffiti artist and the Maidstone Borough council.
Students learnt the rules of typography and how to personalise their own work in the style of Graffiti. The design workshop was the first phase in the community project and the students brainstormed and created a range of fantastic designs based on the themes of inclusion, diversity and community. The project not only allows students to work with a professional artist but also provides students with the unique opportunity to gain feedback on their work from industry professionals at the Network Rail company.
We look forward to seeing our students finalising and completing the final mural on the bridge for everyone to enjoy.
