Mayor Making Ceremony

MGGS was delighted to hear from Louise Brice – Maidstone Borough Councillor, Staplehurst Ward this week regarding Ellie N’s attendance on behalf of the School at the Maidstone Borough Council’s AGM:

“I wanted to email you to recognise the achievement of one of your students, Ellie, in addressing the annual general meeting of Maidstone Borough Council on Saturday. It was a very packed Town Hall, with lots of agenda points to cover. However, Ellie displayed no nerves and delivered an incredibly well-researched speech, touching on some really important points to do with mental health and the environment. Public speaking is not easy at the best of times, but to do it in this environment, in front of so many people is especially impressive, so I wanted to email you to congratulate Ellie, as a Borough Cllr and former student of your wonderful school. Congratulations Ellie!”
