MGGS Big Draw… MGGS Remembers!
On House Arts Day before half term, MGGS pupils who were not performing, participated in a MGGS Big Draw event to continue the creative celebrations of the day, on the theme of heroes. Students from all year groups showcased their creative talents by producing poppies.
These ranged from beautifully intricate line drawings, to paper engineering to crochet! The poppies are proudly on display around the school as a way to reflect and remember those heroes of the armed forces. We have then created some stunning notice boards to showcase this.
MGGS commemorated Armistice Day as a community on Monday; at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month with the tannoy system playing The Last Post followed by a 2 minute silence.
Non sibi sed Omnibus ~ Not for one’s self but for all.
