MGGS First Trip Overseas since the Pandemic!

MGGS First Trip Overseas since the Pandemic!

Last week, 20 Sixth Former students at MGGS took part in a 4 day cross-curricular educational trip to Paris where they had the opportunity to strengthen their French/English/Art/History knowledge.

They visited world renowned art museums (such as the Louvre and the Musee d’Orsay) as well as exploring the spooky Paris under-world of the Catacombs (25 metres below ground!).

They also discovered major landmarks like the famous Notre Dame Cathedral, the Champs Elysees, the Marais district, the Arc de Triomphe and the Montmartre district to name but a few.

Finally, they enjoyed a ‘Paris-by-night’ boat cruise where they admired the sparkling Eiffel Tower shining in all its glory!

STOP PRESS:  We have just received a fantastic comment from a parent of one of the students that went on this trip:  “I just wanted to send a short email to say big thank you for organising such an amazing trip to Paris.

My daughter was just so happy to have had the opportunity to go and was full of stories about wonderful Paris – who knew you could go to the top of the Arc de Triomphe, I need to go back to Paris!

It has truly boosted my daughter after a challenging few weeks of exams and thoughts of uni, so thank you – the hard work and challenges that go into organising these opportunities is so appreciated.

My daughter is hoping to be able to study ab-initio French alongside her English Literature degree, and this trip has strengthened her hopes to do this.

I hope the trip wasn’t too stressful and you managed to enjoy some of your time in Paris. Thank you again.”

Such amazing feedback – Thank you!
