MGGS has raised £11,678.17 to-date for Heart of Kent Hospice!

Simply amazing fundraising by MGGS!

“On behalf of the entire Hospice team, I would like to say a huge thank you to Maidstone Grammar School for Girls for your wonderful donation of £2,232.01 recently gifted to Heart of Kent Hospice and raised from Rag Week activities. Please pass on our most grateful thanks to all Sixth Form students for their fabulous fundraising and to everyone that supported their events for their fantastic contributions, their donations will ensure that we are able to continue to provide specialist care and support to terminally ill people and their loved ones. Your donation could help 20 patients feel safe, informed and supported with a home visit from one of our Hospice Community Team.

I thought you might also like to know that the fundraising grand total for Maidstone Grammar School for Girls has now reached a staggering £11,678.17 – thank you!  A massive achievement to be celebrated.

Here at the Hospice, our amazing nurses and health care assistants care for patients at the Hospice, at home and in our local community, ensuring our patients can have the best quality of life, for as long as they live. The care that we provide is not simply medical, our Family Services Team offer financial and welfare advice and psychological and spiritual support too. Through your kind donation you are helping to fund our vital compassionate care for local families when they need us the most.

It is thanks to the ongoing generosity of our local community that we have been privileged to support over 60,000 local people since we opened our doors in 1991.  Each day we care for over 900 people and your kindness is the reason we can provide such compassionate and specialist care, free of charge, to anyone that needs it.

With sincere thanks for your donation, your continued support and for always keeping the Hospice in your thoughts.

With very best wishes

Karen Newton-Anker, Community Partnerships Manager, Heart of Kent Hospice”
