MGGS Open Evening: A Showcase of Confidence, Community & Shine!…
We were especially delighted to welcome hundreds of Year 5 and 6 students to our Open Evening on Tuesday this week. The atmosphere at MGGS was just buzzing with excited young students and their accompanying family.
Our visitors were guided around MGGS by students from years 7 to 10 and we have received some fantastic feedback from parents/carers, so thank you Years 7 to 10! Lots of students assisted departments throughout the afternoon with the setting up of rooms and Jess and Olivia in Year 12 got going with the branding and merch!
“Thank you for the Open Day yesterday. We enjoyed the event. Our guide was courteous and knowledgeable and professional in her role. We could also see (and this is a credit to the school) that there was a boldness and confidence in the girls around the school. A respect for the teachers but not a fearful one. I found the overall atmosphere familial/a family atmosphere / one where the girls feel settled. … My daughter and I were very impressed.”
“Last night I attended the year 5 and 6 Open Evening with my daughter Lily and I wanted to write to say how impressed I was with the event, its organisation and, in particular, the two girls who acted as our guides during the evening. The school, staff and students had clearly spent a great deal of time and effort preparing for this event and that was reflected in the range and variety of thoughtful, well-presented and engaging classroom displays and activities.
Our guides were Jemima H (7F Britons) and Madeleine D (7F Vikings) and they displayed enthusiasm, maturity, kindness and confidence which really made our visit enjoyable. Their behaviours and attitude are all the more impressive given that they had only started at MGGS in September.”
