MGGS Sports Day 2025: Danes Take the Win!
Β
Sports Day 2025 was one to remember at MGGS. While the Track events went ahead as planned last Thursday, poor weather conditions meant the Field events had to be postponed. These finally took place this week, bringing a delayed but exciting end to the competition.
Usually, the Sports Day winners are announced straight after the Track events with the whole school gathered. This year, with the Field events delayed, anticipation hung in the air. At 3.25pm, Miss Stanley, Headteacher, along with all the House Leaders, made the much-awaited announcement over the school tannoy β Danes were the winners!
Cade, Grace and Sam, Danes House Leaders, proudly accepted the Sports Day shield and headed to the school gates to celebrate with students as they left for the day.Β They commented, βWe are so pleased to be given the opportunity to lead our house to victory in Sports day this year and we are so proud of each and every member who took part in various events. Thank you all for being so enthusiastic and willing to try your best in helping Danes to win Sports Day 2025!! Go Danes! πβ – Cade, Grace and Sam (Danes House Leaders)
A huge well done to Danes and to everyone who took part – itβs been a fantastic show of MGGS spirit!
