MGGS Year 13 A Level Students: An Unforgettable Linguistic Adventure in Paris!
On Wednesday 25th September, 30 eager students embarked on a 5-day trip to Paris! After arriving at the hotel in Bobigny, they discovered the French capital from the river Seine on a boat cruise.
On Thursday, they paid their respect to the late Jim Morrison (from The Doors), Oscar Wilde and Edith Piaf in a huge cemetery. Braving the rainin the afternoon, they visited the Pompidou centre for modern art.
The next day, they entered the Louvre museum to admire the world famous Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci, before walking on the Champs Elysees up to the Arc de Triomphe.
On Saturday morning, they visited the Musee d’Orsay, a renowned museum for Impressionist paintings. And in the afternoon, the highlight was to reach the second floor of the Eiffel Tower!
Finally, on Sunday, they spent time in Montmartre to admire lovely views of Paris and the Moulin Rouge!
Everyone was tired when they returned home that evening, but they were all full of memories and with sparkles in their eyes!
