New Building Update – Signed Beam Installed & First Floor Walls Going Up
The transformation of our new building continues at an impressive pace, with visible progress each day.
The signed steel beam – marked by members of the Baxall team, Streif timber frame erectors, and our own staff including Deborah and Anne – has now been installed. It’s positioned immediately outside the ground floor office, where it supports the structure above. Though it will eventually be covered, it’s a proud and symbolic marker of the collaboration behind this build.
This week has also seen the first-floor walls begin to take shape, adding a whole new dimension to the building. With the full ground floor now in place and the upper structure rising, it’s becoming easier to visualise the finished space and the opportunities it will offer.
Looking ahead, next week Baxalls will be installing the damp-proof membrane and insulation to the ground floor. This will be followed by screeding on Friday – another key step towards making the internal areas ready for fitting out.
Each milestone adds momentum, and it’s inspiring to see our future taking form so vividly.
