Oxford University Ancient Drama Competition Success! In March 2021 The Faculty of Classics at Oxford University, in partnership with the Archive of Performances of Greek and Roman Drama (APGRD), launched the Ancient Drama Prize, an exciting new performance competition for young people from across the UK. Leora Molnar (was then in yr 12 now yr 13) who studies A level Drama and Theatre entered the solo performance category and came second!!

Hundreds of students across the country were inspired to enter the competition, and a judging panel from the Faculty of Classics and The Archive of Performances of Greek and Roman Drama, comprising staff and post-graduate students, watched each performance and chose their top three. Leora performed Hecuba’s monologue from The Trojan Women by Euripides. One of the judges said, “The quality of entries was exceptionally high, and we offer our thanks and congratulations to all the entrants.”

Congratulations Leora on this amazing achievement, we are so proud of you!
