Oxford University Computing Challenge

Oxford University Computing ChallengeBack in November, Computing students across the school took part in the annual Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge. This is a national competition which allows students to demonstrate their problem solving skills by solving a variety of computational challenges.

The results are in, and once again many of our students (over 10% of those who took part) are placed in the top 10% nationally. This is an amazing achievement and it means they have qualified for the next round, the Oxford University Computing Challenge (OUCC). These students will be taking part in the OUCC on Friday 20th January.

A huge congratulations to all students who took part in the Bebras challenge, and especially those who have received “Best in School” awards for attaining the highest score in their respective age category:

Juniors: Gracie C (Y7)

Intermediates: Kara R (Y9)

Seniors: Erin W (Y10)

Elite: Crystal L (Y13)
