Product Design Spotlight

Having started practical work just last week, Year 11 Product Designers are already well on their way to making their own individual outcomes for their non-examined assessment. The theme for this year is ‘products to help in the home’, and between them, there is an array of products that would suit the needs of a variety of users.  This is their opportunity to see their designs come to life and to put the skills they have learnt over the GCSE course to good use.

Although covering different themes such as ‘eating away from home’ and ‘educational toys and games’, students have still been able to look at last year’s GCSE work as inspiration.  Here are some of the previous outcomes from some of last year’s Product Designers, showcasing a broad range of skills used in the GCSE course.
