RISE Day 3

RISE 3 was the busiest one yet! Year 7 had a focus on physical health and wellbeing. Meanwhile, Year 8 focused on online safety from fake news to body image – they also had time for yoga and mindful relaxation sessions!

The focus for Year 9 was the NHS where all students had the chance to enter an exciting competition run by the NHS themselves. The day started with a talk from two NHS workers! The quality of the work submitted for the competition was fantastic!

Both Year 10 and 11 had a focus on careers and preparing for the future. Year 10 looked at CV writing and preparing for work experience. Year 11 had the amazing opportunity to experience a mock interview – with over 10 industry professionals coming to interview our students! All of whom were either past alumni or parents – thanks to everyone for giving up their time. Both year groups had the chance for wellbeing activities with Year 10 playing board games and Year 11 having a mindful art session!

Year 12 had a RISE day revolving around life skills and careers. Most excitingly, students had fun whipping up a coconut daal with a flatbread on the side! Year 12 also had time for some physical wellbeing activities like taking part in benchball!

Year 13 also had an excellent RISE day with Mr Wilson organising a range of speakers to come to the school exploring the topic of faith. Finally, Year 13 had an industry expert to talk to the students about the benefits of LinkedIn.
