So You Want to Dance? Competition Success!

On Sunday, 30th March, Miss Mulvihill and Mrs Nicholls took our competition teams to the So You Want to Dance? competition in Canterbury.

Our fabulous Spectrum were up first, with the judges commenting on their “good strong lifts, great team work and focus” and placed 4th!

G-Fix Contemporary performed next, with the judges loving the “brilliant start and cool patterns and transitions” with one comment simply stating “love!”. It is no surprise that G-Fix Contemporary placed 1st in their category!

In the evening session Intermediate competed in a tough category, and the judges loved “the lovely facials from everyone” earning them a place on the podium in 3rd!

Lots of our dancers participated in the dance challenge, and Freya in Year 9 was selected as a runner up!

Finally, G-Fix Commercial took to the stage with a “really strong opening, really clean, great number” which took them straight to the 1st place on the podium!

In the final awards, it was announced that G-Fix Contemporary won the golden ticket for the highest scoring routine of the entire competition – a huge well done to the dancers and to Meg for choreographing and rehearsing the routine!
