STEM Engineer Talk
Last week 4 STEM Ambassadors came to MGGS to share their stories about being engineers. We had 27 students from Year 10 upwards in attendance to listen to their career stories and their hints and tips about getting into engineering. We learnt not only that the demand for engineers at the moment is high but there is also a lot of room for professional development. Thank you to the 4 volunteers who gave their time and we hope to welcome them back again.
Other STEM news will follow next week and these fantastic activities include:
- Sciences lessons this week covering Astrobiology Year 7, Design and Build a Rocket Year 8 and for Year 9 the Rubber Band Car Challenge
- Operating Theatre Live
- Science Inter House Quiz
- Science Assemblies
- Maths Challenges
- Design Technology
- Mobile Planetarium
- Art – Large Scale Collaborative Painting
