The End of an Era for the MGGS Computing Hub

In 2019, MGGS became one of the only 30 schools to be appointed as an official Computing Hub by the National Centre for Computing Education. Over the years, we have been working to serve the schools, teachers and students in Kent and East Sussex by delivering 328 face-to-face and remote CPD courses to more than 2900 teachers as well as numerous student events, and exhibiting in various conferences.

It has been our great honour to serve the computing community and in particular to champion more students, especially girls, into the world of computing. Now, it is time to say goodbye because all the 30 computing hubs including us will cease to operate after 31st March 2025. For details, please refer to the news and updates from the National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE).

Moving forward, the NCCE will continue to support the teaching of computing and MGGS will continue to be at the forefront of computing education. A big thank you to all the staff, students, parents and wider community members who have supported the computing hub over the past few years.
