We’ve gone a bit Christ‘MGGS’y!

The trees are here!

Our Head Students have been busy not only preparing for Rag Week at MGGS but also decorating our school Christmas tree in the Main Hall for all to enjoy in the run up to Christmas!

It has been a long-standing tradition for the Head Students to be honoured as the only students at school permitted to decorate the Christmas trees, and they did a fantastic job!  Thank you to our Head Students (pictured left to right Neha, Izzy, Bella, Freya and Eleanor.

A Tree for All Seasons: A New MGGS Tradition… This year, we’ve introduced a wonderful new addition to our Main Visitor Reception – a living, potted Christmas tree! Carefully decorated by members of our Gardening Club, this special tree brings a festive touch to the school, while also highlighting our commitment to sustainability.

After Christmas, the tree will return to its spot outdoors, where it will be cared for by the Gardening Club. With a bit of attention and care, we’re hopeful it will grow a few more inches each year, becoming an enduring part of our MGGS celebrations.  Here’s to a tradition that grows with us!

Our beautiful new potted Christmas tree is already part of the MGGS community, but it’s missing one thing – a name!

We’re inviting you to help us choose the perfect name for this special addition to our community. Perhaps a festive female name inspired by Christmas? Or something that reflects the spirit of MGGS?

💡 Share your suggestions now! The name with the most votes will be revealed in our end of term News & Blog.  Get creative, and let the naming begin! 🎉
