Wickedly Wonderful! A Magical Day at the West End

This term  60 excited students from Years 7 to 12 set off for a fabulous trip to see the West End production of Wicked at the Victoria Apollo Theatre accompanied by Mrs Hutchings, Miss Morris and Mrs Hogan. Before the show, they enjoyed an impromptu picnic at a nearby park, soaking up the sunshine before heading inside the theatre itself – the Apollo’s sumptuous interior set the scene perfectly for an unforgettable performance. The show dazzled with its dramatic sound and lighting effects, stunning costumes and powerful vocal soloists. It was a particularly special experience for our Singing Club, which have been working on songs from Wicked this term. Hearing the music live gave real insight and inspiration – and more than a few goosebumps!

A huge thank you to the staff and students who made the day such a joy. It was a wonderful reminder of how magical live performance is in a professional theatre.
