World Book Day at Chiddingstone Castle!

Chiddingstone Castle is running a literary event on Sunday, 9th March to celebrate World Book Day. Children will be able to part in a variety of literary activities and it is all included in your castle admission ticket. Come along dressed as your favourite book characters for the chance to win a prize!

Get your children inspired to discover Ancient Egypt with Ian MacDonald and his new book The Mummy’s Finger. Meet the fabulous Mama G from Britain’s Got Talent. Hear a traditional Japanese tale and make an owl instrument with Sachiko Pearce. Plus, Daniella Blechner will be reading ‘9 Days of Piper Snow’ as well as playing ‘Pin the Wing on the Pigeon ‘ and answering questions about Piper Snow the pigeon!

For 2025 Chiddingstone Castle admission tickets have changed to ‘Pay for a day and return free for a year’ so as well as World Book Day you will be able to return for school holiday activities throughout the year!
