Year 10 Geographers Explore Coastal Management at Herne Bay and Reculver
Last week, our Year 10 Geography students headed to the Kent coast to carry out vital fieldwork as part of their GCSE studies. Visiting Herne Bay and Reculver, the students investigated the impacts of coastal management on the beach environment — gaining hands-on experience with techniques they will be examined on in summer 2026.
Despite a rainy start, the skies soon cleared, and students made the most of the sunshine (and even managed to enjoy an ice cream on the beach!). Their behaviour throughout the trip was impeccable, and they showed great enthusiasm for applying classroom knowledge to the real world.
We are incredibly proud of how they represented the school and look forward to seeing them apply these skills in their final exams next year.
