Between Thursday 4th July and Saturday 6th July 40 Year 8 students from MGGS visited Ypres in Belgium and the Somme in France to see the landscape of the First World War. The students got to experience real and recreated trenches, explore memorials for those who lost their lives and visit museums of artefacts including recreated WW1 smells. Some of the locations visited included:

On Friday at 8pm all students took part in the Last Post Ceremony held under the Menin Gate to remember those who had lost their lives. Students, including Aimee F and Ivy P, laid a wreath on behalf of MGGS.
