Year 9 Textiles: A Creative Finale to Term 5!

As Term 5 comes to a close, our talented Year 9 Textiles students have been putting the finishing touches on their final project – and what an incredible showcase it has been!

Over the past few months, the classroom has been buzzing with creativity, as students brought their design ideas to life through an exciting range of origami fabric manipulation techniques, each garment created is a true testament to the hard work, imagination, and skills our students have developed.

It has been a joy to watch each individual grow in confidence and creativity. The final garments are not only stylish and imaginative but also show a real understanding of construction, texture, and design thinking. We are so proud of the unique pieces each student has produced — every stitch tells a story!

As our Year 9s finish their final lessons in Textiles and begin to look ahead to their GCSE studies, we want to say a huge well done for all your hard work and dedication throughout this term. You’ve shown great potential and we hope you carry forward everything you’ve learned, whether in future studies or simply as a creative outlet.

Wishing you all the very best as you move into the next exciting chapter of your school journey.

Stay creative, stay curious, and never stop making!
