MGGS Gardening Club RHS visit Wisley

Students from the gardening club had a fantastic time on Wednesday 19th April visiting RHS Wisley in Surrey.

They spent time looking at the exotic plants in the glasshouse, seeing how they organised their allotments and working out what we could grow at school by visiting the World Food Garden.

This was a great celebration of our hard work to develop a garden this year, and a great reward having successfully been awarded Level 2 RHS Gardening Schools Award recently!

This is what our gardeners had to say about it…

“It was amazing going to Wisley! There were many places we passed by with many colourful tulips to a whole greenhouse forest! We saw many rows of different trees such as apple trees, cherry trees and oak trees etc. At times we stopped at cafes and they were great! One of the plants I was amazed at was the poppies, they were very beautiful and vibrant! I enjoyed coming on this trip because the sights we saw were amazing and I hope to come visit again!”  Zara A
