Miss Stanley’s End of Term Message as the Term Draws to a Close

The end of the Christmas term is always a busy time.

Our annual Carol Service took place as usual at All Saints Church.  Thanks to Mrs Hogan, Miss Morris, Mrs Hutchings and Miss Stanley for their efforts in organising the music and readings, along with all the other staff involved in such a whole school event.  The Music Department has seen increased interest in various clubs, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for music amongst our students.

Other key events have included the Careers Fair early in December which provided valuable insights for students of all year groups. Our annual Speech Day honoured the achievements of our Year 13 leavers, and where we were honoured to have Dame Amanda Tipples as our guest speaker.. We were delighted to host a visit from a former student and her all-female Chinook crew, inspiring our students.

Rag Week has been a success, thanks to the efforts of our Head Students, Bella, Eleanor, Freya, Izzy and Neha. To date, we have raised £XXX for our sister school in Nepal and local charities, Demelza and The Little Princess Trust.

As we bid farewell to Dr Apps, Head of Physics, Mrs Roche, Teacher of English, and Mrs Philips, SEND & Medical Needs Coordinator, we wish them all the best for the future.

We hope that all families enjoy a peaceful and restful Christmas break. We look forward to welcoming our students back on 6th January 2025.

Non sibi sed omnibus!

Miss Deborah Stanley, Headteacher
