Olivia’s trip to Serbia

Olivia represented England Schools Swimming Team at the World School Games in Serbia over the Easter break. She competed as a 14 year old in the 15 and under category and swam well against tough international competition with teams from key swimming nations across the world, including Team USA, Brazil and China. She competed in 4 events with the following results:

400 IM – 8th (2nd 14 year old)

50 Breaststroke – 8th (1st 14 year old)

100 Breaststroke – 8th (1st 14 year old)

200 Breaststroke – 5th (2nd 14 year old)

As well as the swimming competition the team were able to visit some local Serbian highlights which included the Golden Gondola – the world’s longest cable car route at over 9km! The team also attended a nations night where they were able to learn about the other countries present, meet the athletes and swap traditional cultural gifts, and team kit! A truly amazing experience.
