Olivia from MGGS Scores Big at World’s Largest Youth Football Tournament!

In an exciting summer adventure, Olivia H, now a Year 11 student at MGGS, represented a regional Prep School Girls Team at the Gothia Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden. This prestigious event is recognised as the world’s largest youth football tournament.

Olivia’s team competed in the U15 division, which featured 149 teams from 13 nations. They demonstrated exceptional skill, winning four group matches and a successful play-off. Their impressive run concluded when they were narrowly defeated by a Brazilian team in the last 16 of the draw.
