Welcome to Years 7-9

We strive to ensure all of our students become successful learners who enjoy learning and make excellent progress

The first year at MGGS is a big step up, with lots of interesting subjects and new teachers and friends to meet. Lessons at MGGS are a very different experience to those at primary school as our teachers are subject specialists with very high standards who support all of our students to achieve their full potential.

Miss Heppeler, Assistant Headteacher KS3Years 7, 8 and 9 are extremely important in ensuring that our students develop a wide range of skills and experiences. We strive to ensure that all of our students at MGGS become successful learners who enjoy learning and make excellent progress. The hallmarks of being successful learners will be students who can use their thinking skills effectively, be able to work independently and in a scholarly way. We strive to ensure all our students become confident individuals who are able to lead safe, healthy and fulfilling lives and who are capable of leading others. Finally we hope that during their time in Years 7, 8 and 9, our students will become responsible citizens who will make a positive contribution to society and use their talents and abilities for the benefit of others as well as themselves.

There are so many exciting opportunities to take advantage of in Year 7 to 9, from sports teams, clubs, an extensive range of enrichment activities and our brilliant residential PGL trip. We certainly work hard, but we make sure we all enjoy MGGS life too.
