Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
Recognising the rich and diverse body of students and staff that make our school community

At MGGS we recognise the rich and diverse body of students and staff that make our school community.
The Diversity Ambassadors and student council representatives, elected by their peers, representing all year 7-13, help organise various events to encourage student voice, healthy discussions and promote inclusion in line with our school motto ‘Non sibi sed omnibus‘ through:
- Student Forums on ‘race issues’, ‘disabilities: visible & hidden’, ‘gender identity’.
- Tutor time activities on ‘conflict resolution’.
- Raised awareness on anti-bullying practices to help their peers with friendship issues.
- Year group and whole school assemblies on Neurodiversity Week, Anti-Bullying Week, Black History Month, Disability, PRIDE Month.
- Bake sales for the Winter Fair, Eid, Multicultural Day, South Asian Heritage Day.
- Charities by raising awareness as well as funds & collecting items on their behalf (Maidstone Homeless Care & Food Bank, Oasis Domestic Abuse, RSPCA, Just Like Us).
- Talks by our alumni to celebrate International Women’s Day.
- Multicultural Day which celebrates our diverse school community,
The Student Council, through its students’ representatives, has reflected on the school anti-bullying policy and how we can raise awareness on the various forms of bullying whilst encouraging our school community to be respectful and inclusive.
