Happy YondrVersary! 🎉 One Year of Focus, Friendship & Freedom

It’s hard to believe that it’s been a whole year since we introduced Yondr and became an effectively phone-free school! Our “YondrVersary” marks twelve months of positive change – and what a difference it has made.

Since the introduction of the lockable phone pouches last November, we’ve seen a real transformation in the way students interact during the school day. Without the distraction of screens, lunchtimes and breaks have become filled with more conversation, laughter, and connection. More students can be seen chatting in groups, playing cards, sharing stories, and enjoying the chance to properly unwind together.

The benefits extend beyond social time – focus and engagement in lessons have noticeably improved too. With fewer distractions, students are more present in their learning and better able to give their full attention to their studies.

One year on, it’s clear that becoming a phone-free school has been a positive step for MGGS. As we celebrate our first YondrVersary, we look forward to continuing to build a community where focus, friendship, and face-to-face connection thrive.
