Sixth Form Open Evening.. Taking the Next Steps
MGGS Sixth Form Open Evening: Your Journey Starts Here
We very much enjoyed talking with both our internal and prospective students during this week’s fantastic Sixth Form Open Evening; thank you for all the positive feedback that we have received.
The MGGS Sixth Form is a vibrant, ambitious and supportive community, and events like this are a brilliant opportunity to showcase the achievements of our students. A huge thank you to our current Sixth Formers, whose energy, professionalism and enthusiasm shone through as they prepared the school, welcomed visitors and shared their experiences of life at Key Stage 5. We look forward to working with our Year 11s throughout the year to ensure a smooth and successful transition. Shaping Scholars, Developing Leaders, Securing Futures
Next Steps For Our Current Year 11 Students
Throughout the Autumn Term, students will have a range of opportunities to explore Sixth Form subjects and make informed option choices. The Key Stage 4 and 5 Leadership Teams will communicate directly with students and parents regarding these opportunities.
Year 11 students will submit a short application form through Kent Choices to indicate their initial subject preferences. This helps us design option blocks that accommodate as many first-choice combinations as possible. Although choices can be amended later, it is important to consider these initial decisions carefully.
Key dates for Year 11 students:
- 2nd December: Year 11 Post Mock Ice Skating Trip
- 3rd December: PSHE Day – A Day in the Life of MGGS Sixth Form
