Porchlight Sleepout… Thank you to our 160 donors!!

We did it! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we have surpassed our fundraising goal! An amazing £3,500 has been raised so far, reaching our target! – with support from over 160 generous donors. 

On the night of the event, 40 courageous MGGS Sixth Form students gave up the comfort of their beds and slept outside in cardboard shelters to raise awareness of homelessness and support the work of Porchlight, a charity helping some of the most vulnerable people in our society.

The evening included an insightful workshop delivered by two of the Porchlight volunteers, a simple shared meal, and the construction of makeshift shelters – all designed to deepen our understanding of the real-life challenges faced by those without a home.

This event has not only raised vital funds but also sparked important conversations and lasting empathy. We are incredibly proud of everyone involved.
