✂️Year 11 Pattern Cutting: Creativity in Action 🧵

The Year 11 GCSE Textiles students are deep into one of the most exciting and demanding phases of their course; preparing for their second mock exam in November.

This isn’t just a paper test; it’s the moment where their creativity is truly put to the test. Students are currently mastering the complex process of designing and developing their ambitious final piece. This includes pattern drafting, cutting, and of course, selecting their materials!

The variety of projects on the table is incredible—from corsets and dresses to jackets, skirts and more.

It’s a truly busy and focused time for everyone involved. Seeing their complex design ideas literally come to life on the cutting table is what makes this subject so rewarding. We are incredibly proud of the effort and skill being demonstrated by this talented cohort!
