🎉 We did it! MGGS is a Guinness World Records™ holder – Let’s Celebrate! 🍳🥳

On Monday we received confirmation that we are now officially Guinness World Record holders!! Students from Year 9 played their part in getting as many people cooking at the same time as part of the largest cookery lesson (in multiple venues) on record. In total there were 10,515 people cooking, in 42 countries, across 6 different continents. 

As Jamie and the ‘Wonde’ team who supported the event said, ‘at the  heart of this record attempt is a simple belief: every child, everywhere, should leave school able to cook confidently and take care of themselves — no matter what life throws at them. That’s why Jamie’s 10 Skills Programme exists, to give young people the essential skills in nutrition, knife safety, budgeting, and so much more.’ This is something we also believe in at MGGS and we are incredibly proud of what the students achieved, particularly in the middle of a heatwave!
