Dance Opportunity: Cygnet School Auditions!

Cygnet School is a pre-vocational dance programme, held at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury, for young people who are passionate about dance, allowing them to work with professionals from Matthew Bourne’s dance company to develop their skills and explore dance as a potential career pathway.

Over the course of twelve months, successful applicants come together to explore the unique aspects of New Adventures’ work, style and training, focussing on technique, storytelling and creativity in workshops themed around physicality, expression, gesture and character relationships. Each young person will have an individualised development plan, and sessions also include health and wellbeing training.

Miss Mulvihill has worked with New Adventures before, and current Year 10 student Elara was part of the 2024/25 Cygnet School cohort and encourages all dancers who are interested to audition!
